Frequently asked questions

What does a celebrant actually do?

A celebrant legally marries you and guides your ceremony from start to finish. My role is to ensure all legal requirements are met, while also creating a ceremony that feels personal, meaningful, and true to you.

Do we have to include traditions or rituals?

Not at all. Everything in your ceremony is optional, aside from the required legal wording. Some couples love rituals, others prefer something simple - both are completely valid. My job is to help you choose what feels right for you.

Will our ceremony feel formal?

Only if you want it to. Most of the ceremonies I create are relaxed, warm, and conversational, while still holding the importance of the moment. The tone is always guided by you.

How involved do we need to be?

As involved as you’d like. Some couples love diving into wording and details, others prefer guidance and reassurance. I adapt my process to suit your style and comfort level.

Do you help with vows?

Yes. I provide guidance, prompts, and examples to help you write vows that sound like you - whether that’s heartfelt, light, or somewhere in between.

When do we need to lodge the NOIM?

The Notice of Intended Marriage must be lodged at least one calendar month and one day before your wedding date. I guide you through this process and ensure everything is completed correctly.

Do you offer MC services as well?

Yes. I offer MC services also, in which I bring that same calm leadership - ensuring smooth flow, supporting guests and vendors, and allowing the couple to stay present and enjoy the celebration.

Your day. Your way.

Every ceremony is different, and so are the questions that come with it.
